Kids, but not for Kids

In the Bad Cinema lecture we watched the film Kids (1995) by Larry Clark. It is an american movie based on teenagers in New York City and their behaviour towards sex and drugs during the HIV era of the 1990's.

it shows the main character Telly sleeping with as many vigins as he can, however he does not think of the consequences, and leaves one girl HIV possitive. This was quite a disturbing film in a way because what parents would want to think that their children are acting in this sort of manor.

The film was not produced to be watched by children, but was seen to be produced to inform parents what sort of activities children were getting up to without them knowing. The film however, has gone too far in a way that the majority of 'kids' do not act in this manor.
